Just playing a bit of Devil's Advocate Baz - the way the Chinese Whispers have developed with this story is extraordinary. The concern was first raised by Portal Contributor Adam 'Archaeology Safaris' Stanford so see his posts there for information from the 'horses mouth'. I agree a sign is the way to go. Stop anyone climbing it - perhaps. Presumably there are lots of other boulders thereabouts with no rock art.
