No tourist info as far as I am aware, certainly no sign or anything at the monument.

Don't think it was on the highest hill, or that water was visible. Seem to remember there was a higher ridge just behind - probably best if you check the OS map - that should show the relative heights, and whether there is water nearby.

View of the monument wasn't blocked by anything, apart from maybe a couple of sheep.
