Paul Butler at Smallburn asked my advice as to what this is. I thought it was a thing that chickens would eat from. I know........daft but I've seen similar. Looks like Caithness stone. I know its not prehistoric so I'll remove the picture after a few days. Thanks in advance!

The picture with the triangular stone.

I've seen similar but rectangular, long and narrow with the 'basin' hollow only an inch or so deep

It looks very much like the run off from a smelting furnace. We have many on Dartmoor as there was a lot of tin smelting going on there over many centuries. This bit takes the molten metal from the furnace to the mould which sits below it. If I can find a photo of one in situe I will post it.

Crazy golf .
The green thing is the base of a windmill

Its a fossilised Dairylea Triangle left over from a giants picnic in the olden days.

:o)

I'll remove this for now. If anybody wants it back up. Leave a message. Thank you!
