Though your concerns are justified you’d probably be letting yourself in for prosecution. Can you talk to the landowner, explain things to him/her, and take it from there (not literally of course).

I'm not in the least bothered about being arrested LS, plus it's not like people wont know where the piece is. I don't want to keep it, just force some action.

As for talking to the land owner, i don't even know who that is. If it's the people who own Castle Ring farm or whatever it's called they aren't very friendly going on the signs on "their" lane.
