we've got the Watlington White Mark though ... that's ace. Some bloke up there told me it had "no historical significance", the miserable old sod, as if that made it not worth visiting
hill figures are great - my mate sent me a link to these US ones, on mountains outside cities ... turns out they were a device to distract rowdy college boys, who were running amok in the towns ... nice communal activity, similar to the regular scouring festivals at UK hillfigures
and Whiteleaf and Bledlow Crosses - splendid
