Glad that someone has opened a positive thread for this fantastic news.

I feel a little worried on how to contribute to this thread in fear of "taking anyone's glory" or upsetting anyone, do you think it appropriate etiquette to wait until after MPP has done his talk before I contribute the limited knowledge I have of my parts of the dig to this thread?

You are quite right to be concerned, but if you ask that sort of question here you unsurprisingly will be encouraged to share information. Irrespective of whether intellectual property is involved or not, the field group leader would normally be the person for volunteers to approach about guidance re protocols and particularly about matters of trust. It is after all the group’s reputation that is at stake not just the volunteers'. The WANHS field group do issue reminders to volunteers about do’s and don’ts so I am a little surprised this has come up. Given what has happened in the case of this site and the media coverage I think discussion surrounding intellectual property is likely at the group’s general meeting in a fortnight. You would be better advised to wait and benefit from that discussion and if not wanting to wait to telephone the chair JG and ask for guidance.

Thankyou for your useful advice. I wasn't aware of any "do's and don'ts" reminders being issued hence my asking the question to gauge the responses and make an informed decision. I shall speak to JG personally on saturday after MPPs talk re WANHS protocols - I'll also have a chat with MPP and see where he lies with regards to me discussing my personal experience on site with people.
