One of the most impressive megalithic monuments in Wales, this majestic burial chamber of the Neolithic period lies in the foothills of the Preseli mountains near Newport. Built more than 5,500 years ago the stones are all from the Preseli range which also provided the famous "blue stones" at Stonehenge.

I'm not sure about this as a quarry has been identified a few hundred metres from the current site and i don't think this is a bluestone area.

The CADW entry says the stones are from the Preseli range which is different from saying they are bleustone as there are other rock types in the range.

Mrs G may know a referecne - I have only had a quick glance through our books.
