Just read an appalling article in todays Western Mail about a book called The Hidden Places of Wales. The article is full of vague inaccuracies, which I can only assume are plundered from the book (apologies if this isn't the case). It describes Pentre Ifan as a 'Bronze Age burial site' and calls Maen Cetti 'King Arthur's Stone' (almost as bad as Julian spelling the name with a 'y').

Anyway, the article says that the stones of Pentre Ifan are bluestones. This got me thinking, 'cos I've never heard this suggested before. Is this another inaccuracy, or have they got it right?

One of the most impressive megalithic monuments in Wales, this majestic burial chamber of the Neolithic period lies in the foothills of the Preseli mountains near Newport. Built more than 5,500 years ago the stones are all from the Preseli range which also provided the famous "blue stones" at Stonehenge.

From their website (the bit touting their calendar).
