Not in Ireland. In my (somewhat limited) experience, fissures often separate motifs, but hardly ever become part of one.
My experience is even more limited in Ireland and I should have said in the UK and also . If it is the case that fissures are not incorporated too often in Ireland then that is quite significant .

I'm mooching through loads of photos and drawings at the moment looking for fissures being used in Irish RA as part of a motif. I haven't found one yet apart from this and one other in the same area. There are lots of panels where a fissure separates motifs, though. Interesting.
