With regard to the Irish company -
on a good day I can look at the world and think 'ah. people. We've all got things in common, and we're all trying to get along in the world in much the same way'
but usually and when I read stuff like your quote, I just can't understand how anything can link me with aliens like that. I can't think I would have a single thing in common with someone who could write that.

As for the wind farms - how refreshing that those people stood by their standards and turned down all that money, it does give you some hope doesn't it. (I must admit I am quite ambivalent about wind farms - after all, the turbines are only potentially temporary really, aren't they - not like digging a quarry or a port (though I appreciate they have roads and bases and cables and things). And I think renewable energy is really important, but I do appreciate the cons.)
