Hi Mark

This has been mentioned on here by the estimable FourWinds, who I think did a bit of research into it. I can't really remember what we came up with other than that we ran this at the time http://www.heritageaction.org/?page=theheritagejournal&id=16 and it seemed someone (don't know who) was going to challenge it.

I thought summat someone found suggested the prehistoric stuff was safe so HA decided not to pursue it at that time (tho very unhappy with the situation) but I could be wrong/that might've changed.... I'll see if I can find our discussion about it & check back.

love

Hi Moth,
We had this back then:

Nothing showing since. It all went very quiet, IIRC. It's all down to these people:

The Drogheda Port Company

Drogheda Port Company, Maritime House, The Mall, Drogheda, Co Louth, Ireland

Here:

is this:

Bremore Ireland Port - Preferred Partner selected

Dec 15, 2006

"Drogheda Port Company is pleased to announce that it has selected a consortium as preferred bidder following an open competitive process to secure a joint venture partner to co-develop Ireland’s new deep-water Port at Bremore Co Fingal. The successful consortium is led by Castle Market Holdings Limited - a subsidiary of Real Estate Opportunities Limited (“REO”) - and includes a world class port operator."

from here:

http://wrightreports.ecnext.com/coms2/reportdesc_COMPANY_C826A2280

"Real Estate Opportunities Limited. The Group's principal activity is that of a Closed-ended Investment Company investing mainly in the Irish property market. The objectives of the Group are to meet its banking obligations and satisfy its obligations to its loan stockholders; to satisfy the final capital entitlement of the zero dividend preference shareholders; and to provide ordinary shareholders with capital growth and income by means of a progressive dividend policy."

Not much there about caring for prehistory then....
