Hi there

Well done on finding the cairns! I've never bothered, as omeone told me they were gone. They clearly aren't. I shall have to go back up there now, possibly tonight.

Where is this stone? Is it near to the cairns?

Also, the two stones you mention. Can you approximate a grid ref for them? If they're south of Piperstown they may be the Cunard stone pair that's also eluded me. I only learnt of this a few weeks ago and haven't made a massive effort to check it out, to be honest, but I'd love to know where it is.

Hi Tom

OK. Last question first. O 118 213. From the car-park in Kilakee head up Military Road. Take the first turn right and you're on the road back down towards Piperstown. About 150 yards down on your left hand side are these. You can't miss them – they're right beside the road. I'll post them in Piperstown.

The little standing stone: The upper cairn is at approx. O 107 221. That being the case the litte baby would be at O 108 222 or thereabouts. It's about 100 yards North North East (or maybe a little more North-East) of the upper cairn.

Happy hunting.
