For those who may have read my recent field notes about the graffiti at Maen llian, I have just had this reply from the CADW regional inspector.

Dear Carl,

Thank you for your e mail - this isn't the first time this has happened to Maen Llia. I have been in touch with the Cnewr Estate and will be meeting with them in the next couple of weeks to explore options for removing the grafitti without damaging the stone, which may not be as straightforward as it seems. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Nice to see that someone does take notice of reported damage to sites.
Pity it had to be reported in the first place.
There really are some morons in South Wales who have no regard for anyone or anything. I have said before that I see more litter etc at South Wales sites than any other part of the UK I visit.
