As a regular visitor to Carrowmore and Carrowkeel for the past twenty years or so, I think I preferred it when most of Irelands national monuments were for people to discover for themselves, rather than turn them into the commercialised tours, such as Newgrange and Knowth. I remember going to Newgrange and having to wait for more visitors to arrive so that we could do a tour. Carrowmore is all that follow that cow says it is and more. On my last couple of trips to Carrowmore thouh I am sorry to say I found this site also becoming more and more sanitized and commercial.
