I.m originally from the Grantown area - 2 good fort sites to visit -Tom a Chaisteil and Torran Ban.

I, m hoping to have a look at Cnoc an Duin Hillfort on the old Strathrory drove road soon. This old Drove road has recently been tidied up (2006) but its not that well known or publicised. ie its approx 5 miles long with wealth of Archaelogical interest (look at Highland Councils Historical environment website - probably speaking to the converted here!!)

You could spend a lifetime exploring the lesser known sights in the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire.

So far I have, and since I've been involved with TMA I've had to revisit and photograph them. A good excuse to visit other sites. Busy weekend but hopefully I'll visit a couple on Monday at Sillyearn, up the road from Keith. The camera is in the glove compartment!!! There is loads in Moray to do, very unlooked at, same as around Strathdon and Huntly/Dufftown. An Duin is on my radar being high on the list along with a couple nearby cairns on the way up. Plus I look forward to walking in the Black Isle etc.
