If I remember rightly, Baurnadomeeny is aligned roughly ENE-WSW towards Mauherslieve (Mother Mountain). It is possible that the Summer Solstice sun would rise on the side of Mauherslieve and be in line with the gallery. It's been on my list of things to check out since 2004.
