Why do you consider it to be the oldest in the country ?
It was said to me when Addington was being repaired that the Medway barrows were now recognised as older than Wessex, and the newly-discovered causewayed enclosure on Sheppey is older than any other in this country.[/quote]I was wondering what the justification was , RC dating etc . The Kentish causewayed enclosures suggest a possible early date to to their proximity to the continent but do we have any dating evidence ?.
