I was puzzled by that. The concrete pre-dates your visit.

This http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/1181/garryduff.html pissed me off more. Such a lovely stone yet it was very overgrown and had a pole for the electric fence standing in the earth-filled middle bullaun. I reluctantly put it back before I left. :-(

I noticed the state of Garyduff, too. It wasn't brilliant when I visited it - http://www.megalithomania.com/show/image/316 - but it looks in a terrible state of (lack of) care in your picture. The pole was to one side back then, as you can see in the photo.
