Sorry Goffik, not had much luck with the Trippets..

As for Hurling, from what i have seen on the telly both the 'match' at St Ives and the one at St Columb is more of a mass brawl...countryside against townies...rugby without the rules.

I have also been told that they play a similar game somewhere in France..but ive forgotten where.

Had a fruitless day trying to get to Goodaver Circle today...but i might have found two unrecorded standing stones.

Had a look in the new version of Craig Weatherhills "Cornish Place names..."today. He claims it is of English origin for Dancing Stones. This would tie in with all those other games related names.....but I feel is a cop out..he gives no reason why trippet means dancing.
