...just out of interest Pete, does the church at Avebury (St Leonards?) or any closeby have any curiosities specifically to do with the stone circle nearby?

I only mention it because i think there's a church in wales (gwent?) which has an 18th century sun dial which depicts nearby standing stones (Harold's Stones?)

Avebury church has a few interesting things, the font for a start (always appears on books on Avebury) with the bishop and the two serpents.
It also has HunkyPunks which is very unusual as they are only normaly found in somerset.
It also has four towers with one shortened (which means Pagans welcome) as opposed to four towers with one tower taller (which means Pagans tolerated at Xtian festivals) or four equal towers (which mean Xtians Only)
