Churches on TMA

I'll start collecting material for a new site.
I'm remembering slides I haven't seen for ages.
During a renovation at a church in Devon the masons moved a stone away from the wall to find ancient carvings on the other side of it!
Stoke Gabriel has a huge yew with a ring of stones around its base. The church foundations are built over its roots it's so old (About 2,000 yrs)
The church in Marborough college is built on a henge which Stukeley drew etc.
Something else to keep me busy...

...just out of interest Pete, does the church at Avebury (St Leonards?) or any closeby have any curiosities specifically to do with the stone circle nearby?

I only mention it because i think there's a church in wales (gwent?) which has an 18th century sun dial which depicts nearby standing stones (Harold's Stones?)
