A pretty sparse year for me. I need to get out more as there is so much more to see. I guess I'll just have to drag my eight-year-old out despite her protestations. Her mam recently told her that she'll thank me for it in the future.

So Skregg was a little gem on a weekend in Athlone:

I don't get to this vicinity often and couldn't find it the last time I was here. It's in the TME book as is really rather special:

A shout out to Sheemore, my most (not very) arduous trek: http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/5998/sheemore.html

And a happy stone-laden new year to everyone.

Carrowkeel for me, not just 2017, any year ever, closely followed by Cromeleque da Portela de Modo. For 2018 I can't wait to get an opportunity to discover the Beara Peninsula and back up to explore some more of the Scottish Isles, so much to see, so little time
