Cheeky Kammer! My memory may be bad, but I do remember it was hard work trying to do educational trips on holiday. However, some of it must have rubbed off!
I also remember the climb up Y Garn behind Devil's Kitchen!!! That's another story.
hell is taking children to ruinous ancient sites, especially in the rain
the best way to do it is to camp up there for the night, wait until it gets dark, then tell them scary stories
the downside of this is that chances are you scare yourself far more than you scare them. I still can't go near the Ridgeway without scanning any nearby plantations of cereal crops for signs of Corn Monsters ....
On a recent trip up to my sisters decided to stop of in Minchinhampton, asked the kids if they wanted to 'see some stones' but got the standard response, so just told them there was a traffic jam and that we had to go a different way ! and as if by magic we passed by said stones .
