Wow! Howlers indeed...

Any view towards Cramond from Gilmerton (around ten miles away as the craw flies) is blocked by the Braid Hills, Blackford Hill, Easter Craiglockhart Hill, and Corstorphine Hill. Nothing really overlooks Cramond...
Gilmerton Cove is however, only a couple of kilometres from Elginhaugh Roman Fort (with its still buried bath house). There were also big temporary Roman Camps at nearby Lugton and Eskbank which could also be mentioned Mr Spalding.
Of course Gilmerton Cove being underground wouldn't have overlooked anything at all Mr Spalding!

The front door does have an unsurpassed view of the Royal Bingo Club and it is handy for the Number 18 and 3A buses.

Surely you know that bingo is a integral part of the Druidic religion, though the name of many of the temples where it is practised today reflects a subsequent merging with a branch of Islam, such is the melting pot of these isles cultural fabric ; )
