Hadn't heard of Patrick McGill before. Just looked him up - the 'Navvy Poet' from Donegal. Managed to write poetry with only three years schooling and a life of hard labour.

Amazing bloke. He wrote "night before" war poetry too, enough to make you blub. Kind of appropriate today.

My kids assure me (and now my grandson) that ALL surfers, without exception. pee in their wet suits to stay warm (though how they know is a mystery).
