Never come across Weir before will watch later on. There is also a 2 part series about Fair Isle on BBC at the moment, the first is on catch up here;

The next will be on Monday, it seems an idyllic way of life but very tough to live in isolation on these islands.

All 45 of them, possibly in better quality than on Youtube, are available to watch here: http://player.stv.tv/summary/weirs-way/ You may find that there are other topics and locations in the programmes in addition to those summarised. A documenter of Scottish tradition, reminds me in a way of Jack Hargreaves south of the border..a breed now gone.
