I like this, you feel like the writer's getting past the surface. I like the way Mr Cope says that if you dress ostentatiously enough people actually ignore you, they ignore you deliberately. And I like the way he comes across as being at that genius / maniac borderline :)

He is incorrigible, a genius and of course an eccentric, AND selling his books pretty well with all these interviews. I can just imagine the small cottage, the stones, wife and children driving past....Also, like a great cuddly bear, even though he looks like a fierce Viking...
Genius. Really ?

Bar this website i'm really not a fan, as you may guess. :D

Well yes, I stand by that, the TMA book is original, full of essays and a very different approach. I may not like his music, but the bottom line is whether he is writing fiction or fact, he writes with his soul. Would also point out that when he writes he does his homework/reading as well - just check his bibliography....
As for the new book, I would buy it, read it and then pass it on to my son...

that's a good one, misquote me while actually quoting me :) I said comes across as. You can't tell what's contrived for the public persona and what isn't, that's part of it. But two things are for sure, he's done a lot of drugs but he's managed to produce finished things creatively. And he's quite the one off.
