To clarify, I'm not aware that any of your posts have been removed lately.

The rules were set up by Holy McGrail, and you agreed to the terms and conditions

when you signed up to the website.

Apart from the suggestion that contributors to your progressive discussion about Gladman's photos should "leave it there please" as Gladman had requested, there's been very little input from the Eds to the forum recently. It may be your opinion that this is "the many being censored by a faceless controlling collective" - others might disagree.

On this forum, the editors remain anonymous. If you prefer the way the Megalithic Portal forum operates, you might choose to use that forum instead. If it's not really an issue, perhaps you'll choose to stay with us.

The intervention in the 'Gladman' thread got my goat, yes, because I was dealing with a faceless authoritarian. I could sense if I replied further I might be swiftly 'despatched' from this forum as so many others have.

Both "leave it there" posts were addressed to me.

But Ryaner, who decided it would be a good idea to post aggressively, swear and continue to post after you had attempted to draw the conversation to a close, received nothing by way of admonition.

Somebody among your number makes poor decisions and shouldnt be in the position of moderator. I'm being very generous with my words there.

Its unfair. And you know it, secret squirrel, you know it. Thats what makes the whole thing distasteful.

I can only reassure you that both posts were addressed to all involved in the thread. The first was made at the bottom of the thread on its own to make this impartiality plain. The second was made within the thread because further discussion had rendered the first invisible.

I'm going to leave my comments there. If editors are drawn into forum discussions and arguments it leads to precisely the situation that you are decrying.
