PS:
I made a return visit to the enigmatic Hetty Peglar's Tump (Uley long barrow) today. Now beautifully restored and open - though sadly some idiot has scratched graffiti onto the entrance stone, also inside. Absolutely no reasonable excuse available for such actions.
It's well worth the revisit isn't it? I don't know if you took any pics, but a flash or torch reveals a lot of graffiti on the undersides of the roofing slabs as well.

I did take some photos, the ones inside the main chamber came out quite well with the flash. I own up to the fact that I didn't go right inside as I genuinely suffer from claustrophobia, so just crouched down in the entrance. I'll post a fieldnote and a couple of photos later (externally the barrow was an oasis of wild flowers and insect life).
