Bryn Cader Faner looks amazing, kind of unreal. It looks like it should be in game of thrones or something. Again, I've been near (admiring the strange architecture of the Trawsfynydd nuclear power plant) but will I ever get up the mountain. I'd so like to. I fear I'm too weedy, it would take me forever. Whereas the nice little chamber onthe gower looks much easier to get to. but perhaps the effort makes it an even better experience?

Bryn Cader Faner is not at all out of reach, it was a tough walk in deep snow but in normal circumstances would just be a bit steep and bit muddy in places. It's utterly brilliant though, you should go - if you need company to push you up the hill, there would no doubt be volunteers on here.

The little chamber is by contrast as easy as could be, most of the path to it is well surfaced with a bit of undulating grassy dune at the end. But not any less lovely for the lack of effort. There were people walking past only yards away on the "main" path, but it still felt very tranquil and secluded.

I'd love to get back up to East Yorkshire, went to Rudston and Willy Howe years ago but that's about it. You make it sound very appealing. I like Flamborough Head too.

if you are not infirm there's few hills that are difficult here , hands in pockets and patience , one foot after another will get you to the top of all but one , for sure .
