That could be interpreted in two different ways couldn't it? i.e. "I'm learning/studying just because it makes me content." Or "The only thing I'm learning is how to be content."

I probably washed my hands in that basin - if only I'd asked my interpreter to translate the symbols, i could be much more content by now!

It could be, though in the (Zen) Buddhist context it probably means, “I learn only to be contented.” A bit of ambiguity is fun though. The following found on some old sundials in the West -

Horas non numero nisi serenas. “I do not count the hours unless they are bright.” :-)
