I seem to recall you didn't have a list for this year? Anyway, hope you have a personal shit-free year, and loads of pictures and notes of your wanderings to share.
Well, the brown stuff occurs, does it not? Part of life. During the last Welsh trip I broke down on the way there (alternator gave up), lost my headlights during the week, had my tent written off (possibly by the talons of a kite during the night!!) and broke down again on the way back (the earth attachment in the engine sheared off!). Needless to say all this was irrelevent compared to losing a friend in his early 50's. I'd like to think the visits helped me cope, anyway.

I've got basic listings of stuff to see (some time) in various areas.... but no time frames. As you well know you can't just 'choose' a day to visit upland sites beforehand. Britain doesn't work like that. That's why I had to really push it to see Bronwen again .... I want to return to Cadair Berwyn from Pistyll Rhaeadr one day and couldn't see me making the extra 3 mile diversion if that ever comes to pass.

I take it a new vehicle is high on the list...one that you can sleep in Mr G :-)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been thinking about Carl the last few days, having had an equivalent loss to him prior to Christmas a few years ago. I certainly found that visits and long head-clearing walks help with that and in truth the levels of obsession I now have are at least partly due to that. But you're already obsessed enough!

Berwyns are quite high (ha) on the notional list, but I need to get myself back into practice to do a proper walk justice. Your suggestion of poles may be one I need to take up.
