would your friends really take offence at a christmas card?
I'm not trying to wind you up here, I live in a multicultural area and most folk I know call it christmas and get on with it.

I'm a pagan and am quite happy to get a Christmas card. We celebrate the Solstice as the birth of the child of light as an abstract for the turning of the year, and christianity adopted enough paganism to make it an evolution, not a wiping out of earlier ways, so it's all the same to me. Modern and ancient versions of the same old things that affect the human psyche when contemplating the power of nature.

I'm sorted for a card for the girls anyhow...
