What would be wrong with 'Season's Greetings'?
That pretty much covers the base's.

It is an interesting question as for many people whatever their culture, Christmas does not have a religious significance - and it really is a 'seasonal' thing. Even in these consumerist times it does feel like a way of getting through the darkest time of the year.

I was given a lovely card yesterday with a photo of a wintery Avebury Sunrise on it - it was blank inside and the friend had written their own words.

It's a tricky one Jim - personally I feel that the winter solstice marks the end of one year and the start of another. So, maybe putting aside any religious connotations you could select a pic that you like (and can use) jiggle it around a bit with a greeting of your own and then send it off as an ecard - or print it out and put it in the post.

Jim all you had to was type in 'secular christmas cards' and you would have found the right one, there's a Mars Dove and a galaxy one on here..

Really you should make your own ;) ;), Rhiannon can make humbugs to give away as presents for not entering into 'the spirit' of the thing, and someone can think of something to 'nice' to write in your cards; note that Carl Sagan is mentioned as a possible contender for the written verse...

Hi Jim
would your friends really take offence at a christmas card?
I'm not trying to wind you up here, I live in a multicultural area and most folk I know call it christmas and get on with it.

TE, my post was written with a tiny bit of tongue-in-cheek and was not even needing a "PC" answer. I don't go out of my way to unnecessarily offend people of different beliefs however.
Ta for the input from others, I do like Jane's cards and pictures and next year I will deffo send some. Wimped out this year and got some tasteful "Seasons Greetings" ones.
