Has anybody here studied archaeology or a related subject at university?
After dropping out from a geography degree I'm considering doing something related to archaeology/prehistory/heritage and I'm wondering if anybody can recommend a particular uni.

Bournmouth is the obvious one. Avoid M.U. Newcastle 'not bad'. You'll get plenty more suggestions (Aston eg). Good luck ...

It would be remiss of me not to mention my employers:

Lots of recumbent stone circles to visit as well.....

Has anyone mentioned http://www.orkney.uhi.ac.uk/courses/archaeology

If I had a choice, it would probably be Cardiff Uni.. Welsh history/archaeology is fascinating and they do some very interesting work......

Em, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin do some good archaeology courses. I did some Biblical and Classical archaeology while in TCD and those skills can be transferred to other areas of archaeological interest. It has helped me with my interest in British and Irish archaeology.
