The info about the ogam stone at Millstone came from Canmore, as I said in my post I wasn't looking for this it was just pure fluke I stumbled upon it. Are cross incised stones types of ogam/ogham? So to answer your question, I don't have a clue but like a lot of things in this forum I don't understand it's good to find out about them,

Ogham is the marking on the side of the stone . It's on some Pictiash stones as well like Barnbutts ,Inchyra etc .Same period too .

Thanks for answering, I'm interested in how many pre-christian symbols have been absorbed into what came later. The 'sun-wheel' seems very prolific in so-called 'celtic christianity' (pre-roman).

This Wikipedia site has a section on the Stone/Bronze Age and it seems the symbol was around.
