Oh - and if you're interested - last Sunday's Countryfile had a wee bit about wild camping - about 25 minutes in, I think! Might be of interest to you (it was a "best of" episode so you may have seen it previously. If not, it'll be on iPlayer)

Done my first night's camping! A site in Broome Shropshire attatched to a pub. It was a one night trial, I was working the next day.

I loved the night time. I took some bottles of Speckled Hen I watched the rabbits and played my flute then went to a country pub that had a piano, I was soon on that giving it the Jerry Lee! it was great!
Back to the tent, the stars came out and cassiopeia was right in front of me and I loved that, because cassiopea and perseus is one of my favourite bits of the sky. I opened a bottle of wine, eat some cheese . .

The next morning I felt a bit hungover and the coffee tasted rubbish (I HATE instant coffee), and I had to pack up early and I hadn't had enough sleep, so I was grouchy.

I bought some cheap oil lights for night, they were crap. Need to get some night lights sorted, I only want a low light for nights, not battery.

But It was fine. The dawn chorus woke me up, so I was tired, but what fantastic sounds!

Next trip?

I know the Barge Inn at Honeystreet. Been going there for years!(watched then paint the cosmic ceiling many years ago!), so that's a definite. The Birchover site is too. Does it get busy I wonder? It looks perfect. On my OS map I see I could walk to the Nine Maidens, Doll Tor etc. Perfect!

Damn work, I want to go now!
