I must say I think it's nice to be able to stand up...

I'm quite tall so find this a near impossibility in most tents! My mate lent us one for the last festival we went to. He has a tendency to get tents at least 3 times bigger than he needs, so for me, it was the first one I could comfortably stand in!

Can't find any links to it, but it was a pretty standard and easy-to-put-up dome tent with a fairly sizeable awning bit for cooking etc.

Admittedly it seemed massive compared to what I'm used to, but I think I'm a convert now! ;)

I've camped for years, and I think the best tents (two I have are the geo...... ones) should have a good porch for storing wet clothes/shoes/dog, plus something to boil the water for that first cup of tea/coffee in the morning if it's raining.
Its magical at night seeing the milky way and the stars..
otherwise, also had a ford camper van but it got stolen, always fancied a VW camper, they're lightweight for driving round narrow lanes in summer...

The taller a tent is the more wind pressure it's going to intercept - so you wouldn't use one of those in the hills - they simply shred!
