To a decent chippie, yes. But to a bad one - about three hundred yards.
I'm too old and my back couldn't take the strain. I was offered a large allotment, in March, and I took it. I've not looked back (much). Producing two punnets of strawberries a day, ten days in, looks like there'll be another week of them, at least. I did think about spending two or three days at Kirkhaugh, clearing the turf from the stones of the large circle, from a tent, but I doubt I'll get there. Flogged most of my equipment on eBay - to buy seeds. Phil, my wheels, gassed himself last year, the Wrights bus ended in April. Twenty four years isn't a bad record.
I've drawn Nefertiti, in leeks, 6 x 4.5m, in Bolton, with watercress hair. It's for a competition. Mona is as easy to reach as the Knar, it seems.
