Lord Kennet dies

In addition he was for many years at the forefront of defending our national icon from a succession of schemes that would have disfigured it forever. http://www.savestonehenge.org.uk/saga.html

The very imminent announcement of a new, modest visitor centre hopefully well away from the stones and improvements that don't involve driving massive new highways across the World Heritage landscape are in no small part due to his ceaseless efforts. It was a close call on a number of occasions. In the modern fashion his passing should be greeted with respectful applause.

I applaud him. He did his best for Silbury as well. I know it raises hackles on here (and I don't write this to offend) , but I for one thank him for his efforts in bringing the issues surrounding the Time Capsule to a larger audience, and also highlighting the lack of propriety in EH's custody of Silbury.

With respect on his passing

Peace
