day out

close

can anyone suggest a good place to visit near Birmingham for a day out in the next couple of weeks? up to an hours drive is cool maybe a little more.

i was going to go to the Rollright Stones. i cant think of anywhere else close.

i want to get away from town centres and xmas shopping and people rushing all over the place.

also planning to go down to Cornwall over Christmas, if i still have spare money left.

What about Arbor Low? You might be able to have a bit of fish eye fun there.

Like that old postcard of Castlerigg btw. Is that the fellow who appears as your tma avatar?

Mitchell's Fold?

Malvern and Crickley Hill would be do-able.

Or, if you haven't been there, forget the megalithic stuff and go to the Ironbridge Gorge museums, they're pretty amazing.

The Rollrights are good, because they are part of a complex. Very close by you can also see:
