Hi everyone.

It's a long time since Rupert or I posted here, but that doesn't mean we've lost interest - far from it, in fact.

I can report that our DVD (www.standingwithstones.com) has been selling steadily and the film has been gathering quite a following since it was released in January. It has been a pleasure to meet several of you in person at events up and down the country over the last year and I hope that those of you that have bought Standing with Stones have been delighted with our work. The feedback so far has certainly been very gratifying.

So anyway, there are a few developments we'd like to update you with.

In March next year, expect the book of 'Standing with Stones' to be appearing on the bookshelves. Rupert has been hard at work on this all year and must say, it looks fantastic. It is being published by Thames & Hudson (foreword by Tim Darvill) and is a wonderful book in it's own right or as a companion to the film. It is a photographic journey (Rupert was also taking still photography all the time we were filming the DVD) but the format of a book has enabled him the scope to expand on the thoughts expressed in the film and develop the themes that we were only able to touch upon. So, something to look forward to.

The Standing with Stones DVD is now being distributed in the UK via Lace Digital Media Ltd. which means that as well as being generally available online via Amazon, Play.com etc., it can also be found in the high street in HMV shops. However, the version available now is only in a standard DVD case, albeit at a lower price.

Which brings me on to my next point, which is that the original run of 1,000 DVDs that we produced with its fine display fold-out slip case and 12 included postcards is running out. There are very, very few of these left and lovely as they are, it would take quite a display of public demand to persuade us to produce more. But for the moment, both versions are available at our website, the 'Standard' version at £15.99 and the 'DeLuxe' or 'Special Edition' at £21.99 while stocks last.

Lastly, I've started a Standing with Stones blog at http://standingstones.tv . There is much that I want to include on the site and it has only been updated sporadically over the last months, but there is a good mix of interesting stuff there which I'd like feedback on. It's not meant as competition to MA (or indeed megalithic.co.uk), indeed all specific mentions of sites link back to Modern Antiquarian for the detail - it's more of a personal grab-bag of stuff and reflections on the making on the film. Anyway, have a look, see what you think.

Thanks for reading.

Michael
