You could write an article about how difficult it is to get Experts to listen to Mere Amateurs about their archaeological discoveries and why that might be.. it's a cultural thing innit, just right for the journal. You could be published.
In the case of rock art the majority including the most imporatnt finds have been by amateurs , the exception being when pros have had priveleged access e.g. Newgrange or found as part of a dig .
Pros have a problem and that is they are inundated with punters finding new stone circles etc. that are patently figments of the imagination plus there is an element of "how can you know more than me ," I have a bit of paper ....etc " Although the higher up the food chain the less likely you are to encounter that .There may well be an element of arrogance covering ignorance at local level however .

'Privileged access' - I'd never considered this before and, yes, it is the 'secret of my success'. As I have attempted to purvey my finds to many prominent archaeologists then I'm in a good position to compile a table of their responses. (But I'll wait until the sites have been recognised yet).
