I saw that one, too, SM. It didn't put the 2 "finders" in a good light, imho.
Thanks for the Heads Up for tonights programme, Chris.

The Time Team lot were pretty pissed off with the state of the legislation.

Jim.

I watched the Viking special and was surprised it hadn't shown up on this forum before now...

Yes, I agree it did not put the two MD in a very good light but I could in a way see why they were unhappy with what happened. I am sure many of us have found sites that we would love to know more about...to get to a stage where you have a team of experts come in with loads of money and find nothing must be a bit of a pi***r. Plus, to then be told that what you have found is worth nowhere near what you could have sold it for on e-bay does not help the cause to get MDs to declare all they find..

While on the subject of TV..did anyone see the Natural World program on BBC2 Friday night? It featured an Indian monk who has spent many years exploring Dartmoor. It was a stunning piece of film, not just for the wildlife shots and landscape but also his calming commentary. He summed up everything I would love to be able to say about the moors...
At one point he was filmed sat beisde a stone circle...not sure where it was but it just fitted in with the magic of the whole film.
