Especially if you have a wide angle lens, because it will cast a shadow over the bottom of you image if you're doing close-up shots.

I have 3 Sigma 500 DG Super flashes. One sits on the camera and acts as a master to the other two. This setup was cheaper than one Canon 580 and a remote trigger! However, the 500 DG isn't particularly brilliant. The new 530 DG Super is much better and nearly as good as the Canon.The remote trigger also acts as a focusing aid in dark conditions, which is very useful with the cheaper Canon lenses.
