Thanks for your input to my query guys, I have checked out all the sites you have mentioned on TMA, all of which look great.
Looks like I will be based more towards Redruth now but as this is more central to Land’s End as well as Bodmin I think it will be quite useful.
I have come up with what I think are the top sites to go to mainly because they have easy access (not in any particular order).
Lanyon Quoit
Chun Quoit
Trethevy Quoit
The Hurlers
Nine Stones of Altarnum
Duloe
Boskawen-Un
CarnGluze
Treen
Nine Stones of Boskednan
Merry Maidens
Trippets
Pipers
Men-An-Tol

Others I am interested in trying to get to, if I have time and access, are:
Brane
Chapel Carn Brea
Tregeseal
Inulfra Quoit
Zennor Quoit
Pewton Quoit
Lesquite Quite
King Arthur’s Hall
Stannon

I think that should keep Rex and me happy for a week and I will be interested in any comments you may have on my selection

Wychburyman, I will be trying to get to Tintagel Castle and will try out the walk you mentioned, it looks great on the map.
If your down that way Ocifant (or anybody else) and you want to meet up then let me know.

You've not mentioned dates. I'm there for a week from the 13th, based just outside Penzance, so could certainly meet up for any of the Penwith stuff, especially if you're not sure of how to get to places.

I've got my own itinerary for the week, which involves a lot of driving (my partner is unable to walk far, so we tend to drive around a lot), but can always make room for a meet!

I'd suggest you group the sites you want to visit into areas, and make a plan, but don't try to fit too much into each day - that's always my mistake and I end up amending or discarding the plan on the hoof! :-) It's easy to drive around, but the walking to sites does actually take time - for instance, there's a great circular walk, taking in Men an Tol, Men Scryfa, Nine Maidens of Boskednan, Bosiliak Barrow and Lanyon Quoit, but it takes a good couple of hours just to get round, let alone enjoy the sites!

And once you have planned it all out, don't forget to check what else is in the area - you'd hate to miss a doozy!!

Plan, research, plan and re-plan - that's my approach :-)

Brane & Tregeseal (if you drive as far as you can) are pretty easy access.

And as Maengurta says, Spinster's Rock is cool & not far out of your way through Devon.

Enjoy! And hope you get to meet up with Oci, Mikki & Mr H!

love
