I worked for many years at the sharp end of the NHS and can tell you that conventional medicine is not the exact science that you are led to believe it is. In any illness/disease there is at least a 40% unknown factor that effects a positive outcome. This percentage may rise to up to 90+% in some illnesses. Conventional medicine recognises this but, in most cases, fails to address it.
When discussing the homeopathic hospital, Dawkins failed to mention the fact that they achieve positive results. This is recognised by the medical establishment and the government and this is why the service continues to be funded.
I enjoyed the fact that dawkins gave out regarding one molecule of the water we drink has passed through the bladder of Oliver Cromwell. If this is in fact true then the same can be said for jesus christ, the prophet Abraham, the buddah, the prophet mohammed, and indeed every other person on the planet. Maybe this is the true essence of homeopathy.
