I'm on the briney sea at the moment. I'll post a pic up in a couple of weeks.
There's supposed to be an offshore flint source beneath the Irish Sea, do you find flint on your beaches? what coulor is it?
The Cherrys have done a fair bit of work looking at Yorkshire flint in Cumbria.

I've gotta admit to not spending much time on Cumbrian beaches... and the galloway ones usually just have those nice but predictable flat sedimentary slabbettes varying from greyish blue to pinkish orange.

you occasionally get some with quartz intrusions, and the odd nice pale granitey pebble, but never recognised anything as being flint. I'll have to go back very soon to have another search ;)
