a foot wide trench full of granite doesn't sound particularly sensitive to the site, whether it's ancient sacred or whatever. Surely it's going to permanently Disneyise the ambience of what I assume was a nice place to be.

call me an old cynic, but having lots of free labour *paying* £145 per person to come and build a tourist attraction on your land, well, that might smooth over any qualms or worries one might have

we've long had plans to build a sensory walk/rokakku trail in our back garden. It'll cost you 200 quid, you get all the bulger wheat you can eat, my mates band will play, the rabbit will serve cold drinks, and you do all the hard work laying the trail, then I'll charge you to come back and show your mum

roll up, roll up!
