Rye-Downed ?

Hi all,

Had a great weekend here in Cornwall.
Saturday was very misty but on Sunday the spring finally sprung!

Amongst other sites I visited I thought fellow heads would like to see pics and some fieldnotes added for the Ryedown stone at Delford Bridge up on Bodmin Moor.

Now I've seen the stone, I get the impression that is was not a single menhir but maybe a fallen quoit stone.

This is the stone that is planned for some crazy altarations for the Summer solstice.
EEK!

It certainly looks like it could be a wall slab to a quoit and the local names certainly give some weight to the thought. What does Archi say? Wish I had a copy <cough>.
